Ingredients used to prepare Rava Shiro Recipe :
- Rava – 125 GMS
- Desi Ghee – 125 GMS
- Sugar – 125 GMS
- Milk – 250 GMS
- Elaichi Powder – 01 TSP
- Almonds – 08 -10 PC
- Pistachio – 08-10 PC
- Cashew – 08-10 PC
Instructions for preparing Rava Shiro Recipe :
- Heat ghee in a pan on medium heat.
- Add semolina and roast it until it turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma. Stir continuously to prevent burning.
- In a separate vessel, heat water or milk.
- Add sugar to the roasted Rava & also add hot water or milk in the same.
- Add saffron strands (if using) and cardamom powder to the mixture. Mix well to distribute the flavors evenly.
- Continue to cook the mixture on low to medium heat until it thickens. Stir continuously to prevent sticking to the bottom of the pan.
- In a separate small pan, heat a little ghee.
- Add chopped nuts and roast them until they turn golden brown. This step adds a crunchy texture to the dish.
- Add the roasted nuts to the semolina mixture and mix well. Reserve some nuts for garnishing on top.
- If the mixture becomes too thick, you can add a little more hot water or milk to achieve the desired consistency.
- Once the Rava Shiro reaches a thick, halwa-like consistency, remove it from the heat.
- Garnish with the reserved roasted nuts on top.
- Serve the Rava Shiro warm, either on its own or as a side dish.
